Another Wet One
4/21 Summit Point Recap

Much like round 1 the weather was wet and anxieties were high before the start of the round 2 race at Summit Point Raceway. This time the track did not dry up, and racers changed into their rain gear and installed rain tires to get ready.

Team Pro-Motion recently crowned the 2007 GP Moto Cup champions. The champions, Robert Crenshaw III of the Supersport Series and Brian Ackerman of the Superbike Series, are both dedicated members of Team Pro-Motion, and we are extremely proud of their accomplishments. Both racers worked hard all season, pulling ahead of the competition and proved themsevles to be true champions.

Riding season is breaking and things are finally heating up. What I mean is we've been to a few tracks now and are warming up, getting the cob webs out and starting to feel good, ok except for the really cold stuff! I must say we have some really die-hard riders in this club. I just ran into a female rider who rode to the track a couple of hours in 30 degree weather and light rain. She impressed me since she got off her R1 and even though very cold, she couldn't wait to get on the track for her first time! We got her into some gear although we didn't have any boots her size (maybe we'll carry some children's sizes) as her feet were even smaller than mine! I saw her shaking (cold) as she readied for her ART-BASIC class with Bill. As the day progressed I followed her with an eye and watched as she greatly improved lap after lap. At the end of the day she was beaming as I could see how the track and her riding brought about so much fun and happiness.
