ART Level I is required for all riders that have never ridden a motorcycle on a race track before. Held in conjunction with the Team Pro-Motion track day. Students receive the same amount of on track sessions as all other skill groups do.

ART-Level I students will learn all the basic skills necessary to get on the track in the safest, most fun way possible. Track riding is quite different from street riding and certain important factors should be understood prior to moving on to riding solo. The techniques taught in ART Level I may improve your handling and certainly your confidence level for street riding. No track time will be missed for students taking this school.

  • Proper techniques to start riding on the track
  • How to control anxiety
  • How to focus on reference points
  • How to turn and steer the motorcycle with confidence
  • Fun and educational
  • Will help street riding tremendously

Free Equipment Rental Offer

We often hear that the most difficult part about getting to the track for the first time is the buying all the expensive protective equipments such as leather suit, back protector, gloves and riding boots. Now to help you get started, we are offering FREE equipment rental for our fist-time track riders taking the ART Level I school.

ART Level I pricing INCLUDES leather and back-protector rental.

Student acknowledges that he/she will be billed for either repair costs OR replacement cost of damaged rental equipment. The decision to repair OR replace damaged equipment will be at the sole discretion of Team Pro-Motion. A damage deposit may be required in the form of a credit card hold, until the equipment is returned. Further, in the event of damage, loss, or failure to return Team Pro-Motion rental equipment, the student agrees that Team Pro-Motion may, at its discretion, bill the repair or replacement cost to the credit card used for the students reservation.

Student Feedback

I took the class this weekend as well and it helped me improve signifigantly. Double apexes like those on the East course had plagued me until I took this course. I also ended up getting bumped to blue at the end of the day Sunday as a result. Major thanks to Lew and Bob for their input and for beating it into our heads how important it is to get the right line through the turn even if it meant slowing down to find it.

Glen, just a quick note to express my sincere thanks and appreciation for the wonderful time I had during my first ever track session this past Memorial Day Weekend at VIR. You and the entire Team ProMotion crew are exceptional people that truly want to grow this love for motorcycling and bring it to the masses and are executing this in an incredibly organized and professional environment.

Being new to the track experience, I was required by your club to complete the ART Basic course before being allowed on the track and can't tell you enough of how great a job Bill Sink (ART Basic Instructor) did with the course material and "On Track" instruction. Bill was able to give me the confidence I needed both verbally and by leading me around VIR and then following me and building on every class session. He helped me explore my 03Gix1K's real meaning in life (to be on the track) and have to say that I'm HOOKED!

A special side thanks to you for helping me with my suspension setup. I remember you asking me how I liked my bike while you were adjusting my forks and how you said that you had the same bike and loved it. Well, I guess the Black Painted tail section threw you off a bit, I just wanted to be a little different :-)

Look forward to many track days with you and your club!

- Regards, Andy
