Top 10 questions that riders ask.

Q – What do I need to do to my bike?

A – This depends on your skill group. For ART level 1 and the Novice (white) group; tape over the lenses and mirrors. Blue masking painters tape works best. Always check your bike over for safety and come with good tires and brakes. The bike does not need to be safety wired. We recommend securing the oil drain and fill caps. A street bike works great on the track. Team Pro-Motion has motorcycles for rent.

Q – What do I need to wear?

A – A full leather suit. Two or one piece is fine. Two piece needs to zip all the way around. A hard shell back protector, boots over your ankle and leather gloves past your wrists. A full face quality helmet with eye protection. Team Pro-Motion offers everything for rent except helmets.

Q - How much time will I get to ride?

A – You will ride once per hour for about 20 minutes. There will be a 1 hour lunch break. You can ride as much or as little as you like. We start at 9 am and usually end at 5 pm.

Q – How much will it cost me?

A – Tracks vary in price but start around $179.00 per day depending on what level of membership you chose and when you register for your day. Guests may also participate without membership at a different price offered to members.

Q – Is there any difference riding on the track compared to the street?

A – Yes. Riding the track offers repetition to practice and master your skills in a very controlled, safer environment when compared to the street. There are no speed limits and the only important rule is that everyone rides safe and has fun.

Q – How do I know what skill group I should ride in?

A – If you have never ridden on the track we will place you in our ART Level l school to get you started properly. We offer three skill groups starting with White as Beginner, Red as Intermediate and Blue for Advanced track riders. You can request a group you would like to ride depending upon your skill level.

Q – Can I ride my bike to and from the track?

A – Yes, but realize that you will be riding about 20 minutes every hour on the track and it can be tiring. We recommend that you trailer your bike if at all possible.

Q – Is there gas available at the track?

A – Most tracks offer gas for sale but it’s always good to bring some. You may use up to 10 gallons during your day.

Q – Where should I stay for a two or more day event?

A – Many tracks we arrange camping. We will be working with a hotel that will offer our group a special rate. You can check on our website for details.

Q - What if I don’t like it?

A – Team Pro-Motion wants you to be satisfied. We will credit anyone who does not like the track after they have ridden up to two sessions. The Team also offers a no charge Try The Track program where riders can take sighting laps during the lunch hour to get the idea.
